Nursing Resource Centers to Open in Bosnia and Slovak Republic
Originally published in AIHA's Connections, March 1-15, 1998.Nurses in Tuzla, Bosnia and Kosice, Slovak Republic will celebrate the opening of two Nursing Resource Centers (NRCs) in March, kicking off a series of center openings across CEE this spring.
US Ambassador to Bosnia Richard Kauzlarich is expected to attend the opening of the Tuzla NRC March 5 at the University Clinical Center of Tuzla, while Kosice Faculty Hospital will inaugurate its NRC March 8. The Kosice center will provide information and technology resources to nurses throughout Eastern Slovakia; partnership nurses have planned a series of educational seminars to be presented region-wide over the next year.
Four additional NRCs are expected to open in Slovak Republic, Czech Republic, Hungary and Croatia this spring; the first CEE NRC opened in Riga, Latvia last September.
