Nursing Resource Center Opens in Tbilisi
Originally published in AIHA's Connections, March 16-31, 1998.On March 15, the Tbilisi, Georgia Nursing Resource Center opened, marking the creation of the 12th AIHA center in the NIS. Attending the opening ceremony were Georgian Health Minister Avtandil Jorbenadze, representatives of the American Embassy, USAID and the World Bank, and nurses from several clinics in Tbilisi.
The center is located at the National Health Management Center in Tbilisi and will be managed by Maya Gogashvili, RN, who has participated in numerous AIHA nursing workshops and regional nurse leadership conferences in the Caucasus. The next center is scheduled to open in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in early spring.
