Getting Started

Over the past decade, AIHA has built a base of knowledge and resources by working side-by-side with our peers around the globe. This information is now available here and can be used to support nurses and strengthen the profession throughout the world.

Setting Up Your Program

Setting up an NRC will require dedication, vision, and persistence. By following the systematic approach set forth in this toolkit, you will have the resources needed to be able to achieve your goals and maintain and sustain an NRC at your institution.

Here are eight major steps you can take in establishing an NRC. They are:

  2. Establish a need
  3. Obtain funding
  4. Define structure and leadership
  5. Locate a site
  6. Staff a site
  7. Select services
  8. Equip your Site
