Women's Wellness Center Model Development Process

The establishment of a Women's Wellness Center is a multi-phase process that takes into account community health care needs as well as institutional capacity for staffing, training, facilities, and health services quality control. The following steps help to guide the process for developing a Women's Wellness Center with any community and provide the tools and resources to facilitate implementation.

Assessing Community Needs
Identify priority women's health issues within a given community
Identifying Resources
Determine overall organizational capabilities, facility requirements, staffing and training needs
Developing the Infrastructure and Services
Devise and organize healthcare services, marketing strategy, facility layout, and equipment
Providing Services
Address women's wellness needs through continuous improvement of healthcare quality and regular staff training
Assessing Results
Evaluate program results and develop a sustainability strategy to achieve goals, improve productivity and ensure longevity
